Saleda Lodge

Welcome to Saleda Lodge

Located on the northern bank of the Limpopo River, in Tuli Block, south-eastern Botswana, is the Limpopo Lipadi Private Game and Wilderness Reserve. This 20,500 hectares of the biodiverse landscape is home to 40 different mammal species – including several endangered and threatened species such as elephant, leopard, southern white rhinoceros, brown hyena and African wild dog – and over 350 bird types.

Within this unique piece of the African bush nestled right on the banks of the Limpopo River, is Saleda Lodge, a luxury, exclusive, safari villa.

Founded in 2017 as a family retreat in memory of David Salmon by his wife Ann Salmon and his children Renee, Brian and Ray, Saleda Lodge warmly welcomes families and friends to share in the closeness and cherished memories of its founders. Nestled in the unspoilt wilderness of Botswana, this exclusive lodge offers a unique experience of pure, authentic Africa.

“A sanctuary for families and friends, the Saleda Lodge experience allows you and those closest to you to savour private safaris and create lasting bonds, welcomed by our family of staff with genuine warmth and care.

It’s a timeless adventure that draws you closer to Africa with every return.

About Us

Take in the unique and awe
inspiring African nature
while enjoying relaxation and adventure!

Limpopo Lipadi Game and Wilderness Reserve believes that as humans, we are guests in the bush. At any one time there are very few vehicles on the reserve and the animals are not highly habituated. This allows us to see them in their natural environment and hone our skills in tracking. As such, sightings can be regular and are very rewarding, but are seen as a gift. Regardless, you will be amazed at our guide’s ability to read the bush and tell you the story.

Our Dedicated Staff

Undoubtedly Saleda Lodge’s greatest asset is its staff team. Dux and Martha are the lodge management team. Banda is our professional guide. Gao is the Saleda Spa manager, Kay is our housekeeper who is also a trained massage therapist. Reuben is our groundsman. Please don’t hesitate to ask them for anything you may need.

Our History

The Story Behind
Our Lodge

Saleda Lodge was built in memory of David Salmon by his wife Ann Salmon and his children Renee, Brian and Ray. It is their wish that the Lodge be enjoyed by other international guests as well as local Botswana residents.

They request that the staff and lodge be treated with utmost respect as this is a family home. As you enjoy the beauty and serenity of the environment take a moment to give thanks to God for His wonderful creation.
