Saleda Lodge

Your Home Away from Home

Immerse yourself in the untamed beauty of Saleda Lodge, where the Limpopo River flows gently below the sun deck. Savour the soothing sounds of a hippo wallowing nearby, while a crocodile basks lazily on a sunlit sandbank. Let the haunting call of the fish eagle, as it dives for its prey, resonate through the serene landscape and fill your soul with awe. This is Africa, this is Saleda. It’s our home away from home, and we warmly invite you to make it yours.

The Saleda Journey

David and Ann Salmon

Our father, David Salmon, who is now in heaven, had an unwavering passion for Africa, its people, and the spreading of the gospel. A leading industrialist, he passed away in 2003 and left behind a legacy of love and dedication.

We built Saleda to reflect and honour our father’s values, his warmth, his devotion to God, and his commitment to the African wilderness. We invite you to join us and be a part of our family home.

Our Garden in the Wild

We nurture the most dramatic wildlife in ‘our garden’—elephants, lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, leopards, rhino, hippos, wild dogs, elands, impalas and crocodiles. And then there are the majestic fish eagles, the impressive Cape Vultures, hornbills, herons, and the vibrant bee-eaters.

You can get up close to nature and these magnificent creatures on our relaxed game drives and sightseeing trips, guided by Banda, our highly experienced and knowledgeable ranger.

Explore our gallery and discover unforgettable wildlife encounters, luxurious accommodations,
gourmet dining and relaxing spa treatments. Where nature, comfort, and adventure come together.

Limpopo Lipadi

Conservation and animal preservation are key to Limpopo-Lipadi, the home of The Saleda Lodge. The Reserve focuses on habitat restoration, species reintroduction, and the protection of endangered creatures. There is a strict ban on hunting of any kind.
